Certificate Course in Foreign Languages (German/Japanese) [Course from Pune University]
Objective
The course aims at providing the knowledge of foreign language to the students & working people to meet the current requirements of industry.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should have passed the S.S.C. examination of Maharashtra state board or an equivalent examination.
Duration
One academic year i.e: two terms:
First term : July to October
Second term : December to April .
Examination
The examination is held once in a year i.e.: in the month of March-April. The examination for the certificate course consists of:
1) a written examination with a three -hour paper of 100 marks
2) oral test of 100 marks. .
Standard of passing examination
The minimum marks required for passing shall be 50% of the total marks for the written paper and the oral test taken together. Besides also obtaining at least 40% marks in each written paper taken separately.
Final grades will be awarded as follows:

A+ 90% or more
A 80 to 89%
B+ 70 to 79%
B 60 to 69%
C 50 to 59%
