Aim
The main academic focus of this course is to empower students with an in-depth knowledge of global business and instill in them an urge to take up competitive global challenges. The course curriculum is so designed ensuring an education that is not restricted by geographical or political boundaries.
Objective
The PGDIB is a foundation course looking to mould a competent cadre of business executives. It aims at providing through comprehensive coverage of global business practices, incorporating all the important areas and disciplines relevant for students to succeed in the private corporate sector as well as International business and banking.
Eligibility Criteria
A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Social, Mental, Moral Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering, and Pharmacy from any approved University with a second class (50% aggregate).
Admission Procedure
Eligible candidate can apply on ‘First come – First serve’ basis.
Job Opportunities
On completion of the course, students can look for lucrative employment opportunities in the private corporate sector in export-import departments, government organizations, all India institutions like Export-Import, commercial banks, financial institutions, multinational companies in India and abroad. Students can also start their own consultancy or export-import units in Foreign Trade.

Scheme of Examination :
There will be Annual Examination of 100 marks each for Paper I to IV. For paper No. V, the division of marks will be as given below.
a) Field visit report marks given by the Internal Examiner - 25 marks.
b) Field visit report marks given by the External Examiner - 25 marks.
c) Viva Voice Examination based on the knowledge and understanding of the contents of the courses in Paper – I to IV (A panel consisting of 2 external and 1 internal examiners will be appointed by the University for the purpose for the purpose of this Examination)
The examination shall be held at the end of every academic year on the dates to be announced by the University. It will carry 500 marks in aggregate for the course. Paper I to IV will carry 100 marks each and course V project report and viva-voice will carry 100 marks.
Standard and Grades of Passing
The standard of passing for the above course is 40% marks in each paper, subject to aggregate to 50%. The candidate shall get the following grades by obtaining marks as given below:
a) 50% to 54% - 2nd Class
b) 55% to 59% - Higher 2nd Class
c) 60% to 69% - 1st Class
d) 70% and above – 1st Class with distinction.
